Scaling Dam Sailing Club will be holding our Push the Boat Out Event on Sunday 14th May between 10am and 4pm. We are looking forward to introducing as many people as possible to the world of sailing as possible.
Where are we?
We are situated in the North York Moors National Park on the A171 approx half way between Whitby and Guisborough. See our location on a map.
What will I be able to do?
As long as the weather is kind to us anyone who can swim 25 metres will be able to have a sail in a boat accompanied by an experienced sailor. This does not apply to anyone who would like to try out our boats that are specially designed for disabled sailors.
Scaling Dam is a family orientated club and there will be a wide range of activities to entertain folk of all ages both inside and outside.
Refreshments and food will be available in our comfortable clubhouse
Members will be available to explain how you can learn to sail more either casually or on formal courses, what it costs to sail both generally and as a member at Scaling and what other activities we do here
What will I need to bring?
A change of clothing and a towel in case it is wet (we have changing rooms with hot showers, including a wheel chair accessible option) and a willingness to have fun!
If you need any more information please contact Jo/Jon Pearse on 01287 660050 or firstname.lastname@example.org If you don’t get an answer leave a message and we will get back to you
